Chinese New Year Weekend 2013 ;)

Delayed Post:

We celebrated our first chinese new year as a married couple silently, no downtown trips, no dragon dance but a simple lunch with Mr. Panda's family and mine at mil's house. We prepared our offertory for the Gods and our departed loved one, and my family (much to my brother's delight) watched me for the first time do the offerings and lighted the "hiang" :)

But the day before the chinese new year, we went out for a few earrands at Sm Makati,we passed by at watsons (don't you just love watsons??? :) ang dami mo mabibili kahit di mo need haha)

Greatfinds!

buy 1 take 1 moisturizing hand wash :)

buy 1 take 1 yummy smelling body scrub

buy 1 take 1 shower gel

little secret: there used to be a watsons stand alone store at bf homes paranaque, and i used to go there almost everyday.... addict lang talaga haha :) i love their watsons exclusive collection before! :)

We had our CNY eve's dinner at Boon Tong Kee Rockwell, read so many raves about this resto...unfortunately, we were not happy with the servings...

Bestseller: Crispy Beancurd P185.00
(my authentic chinese husband is not happy with his crispy beancurd, and he knows his beancurd pretty well)

Fried Spare Ribs with Zhen Jiang Sauce P395.00
(whenever i eat spare ribs, e expect the pork sticking to the bone...lol... eto wala, para siya breaded pork cutlets na nasobrahan sa marinate and deepfry..medyo makunat siya)

Bestseller: Signature Boiled Chicken *Half: P425.00*
(they served it very cold...too cold its hard to enjoy, when we ask if pwede pa-warm the chicken, hindi daw pwede bec they serve it cold talaga.......hmpf)

**Price is not ok for such small servings
**Food is ok-ok lang, bit overprice for the chicken
**Fast Service
**Misleading Pictures sa Menu (bakit ba iba sineserve nila sa nilalagay sa pictures sa menu?!)
**If some of you thinks that wee nam kee is overrated, mas overrated 'to haha (peace to the fans)

Part of the CNY Tradition is to give ampao and sweets to the kids... we passed by aji ichiban and saw these gold treats perfect for the new year :) i placed them at my red and white muffin cups and add some gold coins :) the little ones are more excited with these sweet treats than the ampao haha:)

May the Year of the Snake be kind to all of us! ;)
