Newborn Baby Basics Shopping Loot!

Hi Dears! How are you guys? Mid- week na and I hope the last week of February is kind to you :) walang masyado traffic and hindi masyado toxic sa work.

I just want to share with you my loot for my Project BC Shopping. Project BC is about a friend of my niece. She got pregnant at a very early age and she needs all the support she can get. Baka mabato ako dito ha, I'm not tolerating her early pregnancy ha....pero andun na e, the father of the baby is also supporting her and started working na (I believed he gave up his studies muna para makapag-ipon sa hospital bills) pero maliit lang yung sweldo. The families of this young couple is a different story naman, not my story to tell naman talaga 'to. I just want to help. Anyway, back to the young mommy-to-be, I learned hindi pa siya nakakabili ng gamit due to financial constraints ( e next month na due date niya) and my niece wanted to help her out and will buy starter set of bottles. My niece is also a young single mom....and I know all her money goes to her son. So I volunteered to shop for her friend instead, my niece told me to buy just the basics and basics it is! I hope the mommy readers and stage tita (like me!) will like this post :) I include the prices for your shopping reference too :)

Ok, not so basic! but these cutesy booties are so cute to pass up! The tiny toes (left and right) are P49.75 each at Baby Company and the yellow mushroom head is P49.75 at Shopwise.

Valentine's Weekend Cuento!

Mr. Panda and I attended a wedding at Manila Hotel last Valentine's weekend :) we braved the traffic of Manila. Sarado ang Roxas Blvd, nagpaikot ikot pa kami sa pier area to get to Manila Hotel.

The Old Manila charm never failed to amaze me :)

Ok pa din the "Old Manila Charm" hanggang sa rooms.... kaya lang......

Mr. Panda's Rib-Eye Steak + Cafe Ti Amo

Alam ko baka may nauumay na sa inyo sa kakapost ko ng food (if you see me guys in person, you'll probably say "kaya naman puro food post!" LOL) but yes, i'm still posting food here almost every week :) food is my passion and my purpose of living. Eating is my life. I kid, I kid.... syempre ang purpose ng buhay ko talaga maging daughter and a wife and hopefully a mommy someday. :)

But I can't help to share with you my food post! :)

One sunny weekend, Mr. Panda cooked steak for me. We have Meltique Rib-Eye Steak in our fridge and Mr. Panda knew one meal of steak will make me happy the whole weekend na! We buy Meltique from S&R :) for 5 pcs of uber-yummy steak, you'll only pay for P1,599. Direct from the fridge, Mr. Panda sprinkled some salt and pepper, then pan fried it with canola oil (sometimes,he uses our electric griller too)

And Voila! My very tender and uber yummy  Rib-Eye Steak :)

Side Weekend Cuento + Bulgogi Brothers!

Hi Friends! Kamusta ang weekend nyo? :) :) Did you celebrate Valentines last weekend? Umiwas din ba kayo sa traffic nung Friday?  Mr. Panda and I skipped the Valentine's dinner last Friday and stayed home instead. Last Sat, we attended his college friend's wedding at San Agustin and nawindang ako sa church na yun parang fastfood sa bilis sa weddings! Ongoing pa ang mass, nakapila na sa likod namin ang entourage ng next wedding! And dahil close ang Roxas Blvd, we need to take the long route going to Manila Hotel for the reception. Buti na lang may googlemaps! Hindi kami naligaw. I'll post my dissappointing review for our staycation at Manila Hotel next time.

A  couple of weeks ago, Mr. Panda and I craved for steaks and we don't want to splurge on that weekend..... so we look for an affordable choice. We went to Bulgogi Brothers! I'm not a big fan of Korean Food but I love their steaks here.

A Foodie Drive to the North!

A couple of weeks ago, me and my wedding sisters plus the hubbies went to the North to try the new restos at the UP Town Center. We went there after lunch hoping that there will be lesser crowd but when we got there, 1 hour pa daw ulit ang waiting time sa Casa Verde. E yun talaga pinunta namin, because one of my wedding sisses have tried it already in Cebu and when she learned nagbranch out na sa Manila ang Casa Verde, she wants us to try it out also. :) :) :) So, nagtyaga kami sa waiting time ng 1 hour.

CNY Dinner: Toho Restaurant Antigua

Another overdue post, our Chinese New Year Dinner! Hubby is busy with work and deadlines so we opted for a simpler CNY Dinner celebration. We went to the nearby mall and look for an authentic Chinese restaurant. And authentic it is! we end up with the oldest Chinese restaurant in Manila. Toho Antigua opened its first door in 1866 in Binondo. My maternal grandfather,my Tatang, was a big fan of this restaurant. My favorite branch is the one in Presidents Ave, BF Homes Pque. I'm happy they opened another branch in SM BF City. It only means tumitibay pa din ang Toho! haha! :)

Outreach Throwback! (Kahit hindi thursday today!)

Heartwarming that my dear readers appreciated my lootbags for the kids from the orphanage. Sakto, I saw from my old usb some pictures of our outreach programs from eons ago hihi :) My friends and I have this yearly outreach thing, we give whatever we can share from our own pockets and we look for a place where we can do our outreach. One of my most memorable outreach programs was somewhere in Cavite. Its a small community and we had a program near the cliff ng river haha.  Dulo ito ng Cavite! 2 hours kami from Paranaque. Ubusan ng gas ang level sa travel. It was very memorable because the mommies of the kids came up to us and hugged us and thanked us for the gifts for their kids while the kids naman they opened their gifts infront of us and super happy sila! You can see it in their eyes! Sobrang touch kami and sulit ang aming pagod from the 2 hours drive and mini trekking papunta sa mismong area :)

I would just like to share with everyone some of our gifts for the Cavite Kids :) Ako yung bumili ng mga 'to, please be nice to my taste ha :)

Small Happiness :)

Last few hours before weekend ends! how is your weekend? mine was great! very relaxing :) Today, Mr. Panda and I went to the north with our friends... North na UP area haha :) We went to UP Town Center. But I will post about our food trip this week :)  I would like to share with you guys what I did last week. I read from Mommyfleur's blog that she will celebrate her birthday again at the orphanage of Apostles of the Holy Rosary Sisters in Merville Pque. This is very close to my heart, I usually celebrate my birthday and have outreach programs during Christmas sa orphanage too. I sent her an email 2 days before the celebration if I can bring lootbags for the kids and she said yes! :) :) I already have prior commitments for that day so I will just drop off the lootbags :) ok lang naman daw sabi ni Mommyfleur :)

I wanted my lootbags to be useful at the same time for the kids, I went to National Bookstore and found these nice plastic envelope with handle :) and parang fate talaga, sakto lang yung stocks nila for the number of pieces that I need.

Then I brought some goodies at the supermarket :)

Saturday Shopping Loot!

Hi Dears! Kamusta ang Saturday niyo? :) Hindi ako makatulog kagabi kasi I got a sms for a private sale at greenbelt 4 - gucci, bottega veneta and armani. E matagal ko na gusto magalit ng wallet, actually pag nakita mo wallet ko, you'll think a dog played with it. Nagmugmog na yung leatherette and dati siya brown ngayon mocha tone na haha :) 65% off daw ang sale, so I asked dear hubby to go to the sale with me. He was in the middle of something sa work and he said "yes" agad without any questions haha :) nung matutulog na kami, i kept telling him to stop playing "flappy bird" (have you tried playing it? awa ng diyos gusto ko ibato yung phone kasi nakakainis si flappy bird! ang dali mamatay! or hindi lang ako marunong maglaro haha!) anyway, yung nga kinukulit ko siya matulog na kami.....

He asked "why? e sat naman bukas dba..ikaw ba magoopen ng mall ng 11am"

"hindi babe, 9am"

"nine! bakit?'

"e kasi yung private sale 9am-11am lang e"

Where to Celebrate the Valentines 2014!

February na! Valentines na! Honestly, natuto lang talaga ako mag celebrate ng Valentines when I met Mr. Panda ( siya kasi ang romantic sa amin), Valentines means traffic for me before. And I usually go out with my guy bestfriend pag Valentine's Lunch, because years ago, one freaky Valentine night, my guy bestfriend rescued me and it sealed our bestfriendship forever. Then, I met Mr. Panda and Valentines for him is like Christmas sa isang 5 years old kid.

We are still preparing for our Valentines '14 :) and to help other prepare too, here's my compilation of ideas of Valentine's Celebration. :) :)

"My Favorite Things Giveaway" Winners! + Happy Chinese New Year! :)

Belated Happy Chinese New Year! I was busy for the past few days and kasabay na din nito ang Chinese New Year! :) Years ago, CNY means tikoy to me lang, our family will receive around a dozen of tikoy from banks, suki hardware, chinese-filipino family friends and my feng shui avid cousins :) But now, that I'm married to a full-blooded chinese (muggle born lang ang peg hihi) CNY means "alay" to ourdearly departed loved ones, the chinese gods...(not sure if tama ang term ko oops sorry), ampao, dinner with the family, waiting for the new year's eve with coins jingling in our pockets, gold chocolate coins, round fruits and tikoy exchange pa din. :)
